If you’re looking for an investigator, Mark is your man, particularly if you need bearing analysis. His team of technical experts select, design, and oversee a suite of specialized tools and systems that help Timken evaluate bearing performance for customers.

“My job is to make sure Timken completes good studies that include good numbers and good recommendations. An analysis must provide meaning and value for customers, or it was just an academic exercise.”

Mark enjoys the challenge of coordinating his resources and making the best use of his team’s skills. “Every time a new situation emerges, it can come from anywhere on the map. I have to make sure the right people have access to the right tools for the task.”

While he’s pleased to be able to apply what he learned in college, Mark says degrees aren’t everything when it comes to engineering. “Hard work and results – solving internal and external customer problems – are really what it takes to succeed in my job.”
