Description: The Steel Business Associate (SBA) Development Program provides the opportunity to explore different functional career opportunities in specific focus areas within the Steel Business Unit while completing a comprehensive training curriculum. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of a 2.8 and should enjoy contact with people, have good communication skills and be self-motivated.
Majors: BS, MS in Metallurgy, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
Training Period: 15 months
Location: SBA training will take place in Canton, Ohio. Upon completion of the training, engineers will work in one of the sales offices in Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago or Houston.
Project Areas: Opportunities to work in knowledge of steel products, application development, steel process engineering, metallurgical services, manufacturing operations, steel sales, marketing, customer service, and steel research and development.
Post Development Program: Through classroom and on-the-job training, the SBA upon completion will use their engineering knowledge to develop the technical and commercial skills required to solve customer problems.
