Governance

Our history of strong business ethics and integrity is woven into the fabric of our company and  carried on by our associates, who act as good citizens within our communities, conduct business in an honest manner and deliver on our promises.

Today, our responsibilities to investors and other stakeholders demand an even greater dedication to sound business practices. The following efforts help ensure Timken continues to operate with integrity, so we can continue to support customers and communities for years to come:

  • Standards of Business Ethics Policy
Timken’s business ethics policy puts in writing the high standards of ethical conduct that are expected of each associate, officer and director of the company.
  •

  • Timken’s Ethics Officer
Timken’s ethics officer assists associates in understanding their duty to conduct business honestly, fairly, loyally and responsibly. The ethics officer chairs the corporate compliance committee and reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors on matters concerning ethics and compliance.
  •

  • Open Door Policy
Timken’s leadership team is committed to upholding our principles of ethics and integrity and want to be aware of any issues that may compromise them. Timken’s Open Door Policy facilitates that awareness. This policy directs associates to first consult their own supervisor/manager for help with ethics-related issues, then, if needed, take the matter to higher levels of management or a human resources representative.
  •

  • HelpLine
The Timken HelpLine is available for associates who prefer to discuss a situation confidentially if they are reluctant to address it with their supervisor or another manager. The public also may use the Timken HelpLine to voice concerns or complaints about unethical behavior. Calls or emails are confidential and can be anonymous.
